Biographie

Jason Harder is a project manager for the Alberta Ingenuity Center for Machine Learning (AICML) at the University of Alberta. He is responsible for the management of the health sector research projects and is the Special Project lead for AICML-Alberta Health Services projects. His career started as a Respiratory Therapist in 1989, with a healthcare focus that ranged from providing direct patient care and creating innovative approaches to patient care to the management of a Cardiopulmonary Department. This led to an internal executive health system consultant role, with success in new business development, reduced patient length of stay, increased process capacities with subsequent revenue increases, nursing/physician/HR/ Finance/IT service redesign, organizational cultural transformation and two national awards for projects that vastly improved customer satisfaction. Jason completed his Respiratory Therapy training at North Central Michigan College and subsequently obtained the credentials of a Registered Respiratory Therapist and a Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist. He completed his BS in Health Services Management via Independence University in Utah, as well as completing the Cox School of Business Course through SMU in Dallas, an Advanced Performance Improvement Course through UT Arlington, Process Statistical Training, Team Dynamics, Facilitator and Advanced Facilitator Training via M.K. Key, PhD, cultural transformation training via Tom Atchison, PhD. He obtained certification as a Certified Professional in Health Care Quality, certification in Change Management by PROSCI, certification from Development Dimensions International to facilitate management and leadership courses and certification from Achieve Global to facilitate management and leadership courses. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Karel Capital Corporation.
